 PetSitting: This is a full time job for me at the moment. My parents started a pet sitting business and, they just L.L.C. got bonded and, insured a few years ago. I couldn’t be more thrilled taking care of people’s precious animals! We get most of our jobs by word of mouth and, thank goodness the business has been taking off. It allows me to stay in a new place almost every week which, is an awesome change. If you are looking for a great experience and, new furry friend, pet sitting is defiantly the way to go. I’ve heard good thing about Rover so, you might want to start your profile there as a pet sitter.

Airbnb: Airbnb is a great place to find houses etc.. to getaway but, you can also, become a host. If you have a summer house, apartment or, want to rent a room out you can. This is the perfect way to make some extra cash.

Tutoring: There are many sites to put your tutoring skills to the test. If you have the special skill of knowing another language I just learned about a great site that you can tutor on. With italki you can use your language skills and, create your rate so, you can tutor many people who are itching to learn a new language. This is also, a great job as a college student who may need a part time job but, can’t leave the campus because of their class load. 

Freelancing: I use Upwork to freelance. I mostly write blog post but there are many jobs for different skillsets. From web designer to virtual assistant you will get a job in no time. You submit a proposal to the job you want and, wait to hear back from the potential client. I have gotten a lot of work from here and hope to build my skill sets so, I can apply to even more jobs. 

Blogging: This is not a get rich quick way to make money in fact, it is actually extremely difficult to actually make money blogging. Some bloggers are lucky and are making upwards of $50,000 plus a year and, some make $0. The struggle is real but, you can reap the rewards. There is a lot of research required and lots of trial and, error. If this is your passion and, you love writing then I would say start a blog. I love the fact that I have readers who enjoy my content and, ask questions. Interactive readers are amazing and, they are who I’m writing/researching new blog posts for. I use wordpress for my blog and, I am currently loving it. I also, bought my own domain name. I started on blogspot and, worked my way to my own website. Do some research and, see what will work for your blog.

Those are all the extra jobs I have for you for now. It’s a good thing I love to research and, learn so, I will have plenty of new side/full time jobs for you all soon! If you have a topic you want me to talk about just let me know in the comments below.

Work Bitch Diaries – Day 1

Title may be a bit aggressive but, it is not meant to be offensive although, the name of my blog should say it all. This is really a platform for me and, you to ask each other questions, motivate and, help get through the work day. Sometimes you just need a little extra boost of support and, this is exactly that!

I made a facebook group awhile ago called, ” The Entrepreneur Life.” I made it kind of as an extended blog but, also a platform where we could help each other. I also, have a page for my blog, That’s A Bang Out Of Order and, one to promote products I’m selling on Amazon called, Ethical & Handmade Children’s Toys @ethicallyinclined . I like the idea that you all would be able to reach me and, vice versa through another platform. You can also, tweet me @thatsabang and, on instagram @thatsabangsfitme. I have about five instagrams because they all focus on different platforms. I will have everything listed below.


Okay, now that we have that all out of the way I wanted to chat a little bit about working at home. I think I have beaten this subject down quite a bit in past blog posts. I have posted about scheduling etc.. but, working at home is challenging and, I like to talk to you all about it as much as possible. There is a bit of a stigma on social media that working from home is so easy and, you constantly have time to do everything. Just like a 9-5 job, I too need to put in work hours during the week and, it can tend to get insane. I will find myself working on my laptop for five to six hours at a time and, I wonder what happened to the day. Or, I am listing items all day, working on social media posts, scheduling social media/blog/youtube videos, editing a video and, the work is literally endless. I could work 24 hours a day for a month and, still not be where I want to be business wise. All of these things tend to scatter in my head and, some days I struggle with which one to begin with. Although, they are all businesses they are still semi-creative and, you really need to be in the right mindset. Today I am blogging because I woke up and, that is exactly what I wanted to. It is almost like craving a type of food you have to have it and, really want it. Working tends to take priority over everything. Yes, I have been known to be a bit of a workaholic. The phrase, “The struggle is real,” is not really wrong it just depends on what struggle you are talking about. May looks like it is going to be two weeks of filming hopefully, two-three videos a day and, then the next two weeks of editing. Working on 4 blog posts three days a week and, working out. I have a month to get it together before I start applying to work as a waitress to prepare for Hawaii expenses. It is a bit stressful but, it is kind of exciting that everything is so up in the air. How do you all handle working from home? Are you able to balance your everyday life with your work life? Do you schedule everything out or go with the flow?

This week has been a bit odd for me I feel like I have been slacking pretty hard which, never happens. It’s funny, I’m not really slacking I’m just not working the forty plus hours a week that I have been putting in. If I am hanging out with friends, family or, doing something besides working I feel a bit guilty. I know it takes five years to grow a successful business and, I have three that I am trying to grow plus, a social media following. I really need to be present everyday for my businesses succeed but, I also, don’t want to neglect myself or, others in my life. And, little things like laundry or cleaning; or, big things like my health and, fitness. Sitting at a desk for 5-8 hours a day does not help my health or, fitness. I have been working out like crazy which, I will talk about in a fitness post. I try to go on walks or, take a break from the laptop because it literally sucks up my time. These next couple of weeks are going to be super busy however, that is my favorite part of my businesses. I love putting in the work to help them grow and, really paying attention to what I can do better and, rework my business model. Tips To Help Anxiety

With our go,go, go lifestyle and, working ourselves to the bone the number of people with anxiety is high. I don’t care who you are there is a little bit of anxiety built up that may be stressing you out. Here are a few tips to help you cope with the anxiety and, help you ease through your day.

                                                                                                                        

  • Give Yourself Time In The Morning- First instinct in the morning is to hit your snooze alarm which, you know with give you a few more extra minutes in your cozy bed. Give yourself an extra hour to wake up instead of hitting your snooze alarm. I wake up usually two hours before I have to get out of bed. This may seem a bit excessive but, it allows me to watch a show, relax and, check emails. I do not like to feel rushed in the morning.
  • Go To Bed Early- Your body needs 6-8 hours of sleep depending upon your age. If you are in your 20s-30s you need to get 8 hours of sleep. Your brain needs time to rest and, you are depriving yourself of a proactive day if you think you can skimp on your sleep. With all the apps out there try to find on the monitors your sleep and, see how many hours your body actually needs. I haven’t needed my normal 9 hours of sleep lately and, I have only needed about 6. That is all according to how you feel when you wake up. If you feel like you haven’t slept when you wake up try monitoring your sleep for two-three weeks and, see what it tells you.
  • Get Rid Of The Coffee- Your body becomes super dependent upon the coffee and, then it doesn’t help wake you up anymore. If you get enough sleep you won’t need the coffee. Swap your coffee for water to hydrate yourself or, smoothie for a nice vitamin kick.
  • Yoga- I do not know if yoga is your thing but, I recommend it anyone I know. Not only does yoga help to wake you up it also, keeps you calm. I recommend it before bed as well to get you ready to sleep. Bonus you get a workout before work and, it keeps your muscles active. You can also, try meditation or, Qigong.
  • Pre- Before you go to bed pick out what you are going to wear for the next day. Get all your bags ready/food. Being prepared before you go to work will help ease your anxiety and, you can go to bed without any worries.
  • Playdough– Playdough isn’t just for children it is also, a great to relax. Something about concentrating on molding the playdough is calming. You can also, try mini rake in sand or, the coloring books for adults.

If there is an active that you know is going to cause you any anxiety try these methods. Take a few deep breaths and, ask why this certain activity etc. is causing anxiety and, how you can help relieve yourself of the anxiety.

The Age Of The “20” Somethings

Lately, I have been questioning my life choices as, I think all “20” something year olds’ do. Simple thoughts like, ” Am I on the right path?”  ” Did I make the right career choice?” ” Would I have been better in a corporate environment?”

Makes me wonder about the “20” something mentality of YOLO or, original Latin phrase Carpe Diem. Are we so revolutionized that our future is not as important as, seizing the day or, that exact moment. Or, are we so worried about thinking past the present that we use those phrases as a crutch. I have been stressing out a little more lately than usual with the financial element of going to Hawaii, saving for a car, apartment and, all of my business expenses. As many jobs as I do have, the income can tend to be flaky and, I invest most of it back into my Amazon business. Money, seems to be a main stress among-st most people but, I don’t see people of “20” something generation stressing out about it as much. Is this because it will ruin the “carpe diem” idea or, because we’d rather not dwell on something that doesn’t hold as much of importance to us. Money comes and, goes but, the memories will last forever and, that seems to be where our focus is. Of course, you have the heavy party-ers, 5-9 workers, entrepreneurs and, some that are in-between.  Is it just me worrying about the unknown or, is everyone else just internalizing their fears?

The fear of completely striking out doesn’t bother me but, the fear of not being semi-financially secure and, able to solely take care of myself is a number one concern. I am going to be applying to a few waitress jobs and, I’m kind of excited/nervous. I do not have a background in waitress-ing but, I am hoping that they will give me a chance to tackle the job and, do it well. Once, I am working somewhere that allots me a steady income my insides will be a bit more at ease.

When I pass people on the street just walking I wonder about their life story. Did they have a dream they never pursued? Have they traveled? Do they live with any burdens? Do they have any advice for me about life? What are they thinking about? Are they wondering the same thing when I pass them by? We really have no idea where we are going to be five minutes from now let alone five years from now. I read an article that said would you rather own a $1,000,000 house with debt and no money in the bank or, own a smaller house with $5,000 in the bank and, no debt. My question I ask myself is, “would I rather be rich in experience or, have a rich bank account.” No, it’s not a trick question and, I have the answer for myself, I’d rather be rich in experience; I’d rather be rich in friendships, relationships and, in love with living life to the fullest. I am wondering, ” Is that a “20” somethings mindset or, are we just in-tune with how we plan to live our lives?”

Bear and Birch Spa Day

Welcome To Our Bear and Birch Spa Experience

We were greeted by a nice women who gave us this awesome bracelet that are waterproof. They open your locker and, keep your tab. I mean, how awesome is it that you don’t have to carry around a wade of cash with you. You pay at the end and tally everything up. We paid $25 to get which included the Russian Sauna, American Sauna, Steam Room, Cold Plunge, Jacuzzi and, seats. There is water available for free around the spa so, don’t worry about dehydrating. Ladies & Gents, it is B.Y.O.B so, bring your favorite liquor and, drink up. If you want to stay in the cleanse mindset there are plenty of juice options. We put all our clothes etc. in the locker room and, proceeded to the room where basically everything. We found a table set our stuff down and, headed into the steam room. Well, we are not all fans of being steamed in so, we shut off the steam which gave a nice lingering steam and were sweating so, it did it’s job. Then we headed to the Russian steam room I lasted about 1 minute it was veyr, very hot and, we made the mistake of bringing our plastic cups in whoops… they started to melt. I quickly placed them outside and, went back in for probably 30 seconds. I could not handle the heat so, I got the heck out. Then, we hit up the American sauna which was pretty warm and, I may have been in there for five minutes. I can only be in places super warm for a few minutes, I can not take too much heat. After that, I took the cold plunge and, yes it was freezing but, it is great for your lymphatic system! We decided to chill out by the Jacuzzi and, order some food. We got hummus and, bread it was quite tasty.

We saw this really cool tea pot next to use and, we decided to order it and, we all really wanted tea! The tea was indescribably delicious, I have never had tea quite like it and, I am always thrilled when I can add a new tea/food into my “adventurous” taste buds. I will defiantly try to find this tea so, I can have it at home. How cute are the glasses an, tea pot!

We then ventured into the Jacuzzi which was fabulous and, much needed after some tough workouts during the week.

After going back in the steam room and, in and, out of the Jacuzzi we decided to order the Watermelon. It was perfect after all the heat we wanted something refreshing. We opted not to get any treatments mainly because we were all on a budget. You can get treatments and, the prices were reasonable. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and, I would recommend going. I forgot to mention one of the best parts, it’s open from 12pm-12 am so, for $25 Wed-Thurs you could stay there the whole day. I thought this would be a great Christmas present. The membership for the month is $95 and if you plan on going a lot I would say it is worth it.

Frugal Searcher

Ciao Tutti,

Another week , another job and, probably another bill unpaid or another $ added to the credit card. Well, I may not be knee deep in debt but, I do have a goal of making $1,000-$10,000 a month. $10,000 goal is high but, it is still a goal I will try to pursue.  I really enjoy Pinterest I always search for new ways to make money at home.  Since I am already working from home I wanted to add a few extra hours to my day by finding a side or, full-time job. While searching on Pinterest I found a few options and, one of them really spoke to me. I signed up to be a test reviewer for websites. Making $10 an hour for testing websites is a great side job for me as, I am used to talking to a recording from YouTube. I also, have some experience from Freelance jobs. If I am able to have two side jobs along with my other jobs that will keep me a great income.

I have tested the site and, in fact they do give jobs right away so, I’m well on my way to earning that extra dough. I am currently in the middle of testing out a radio station with perks, writing for greeting cards, and, selling my junk mail. I will eventually test quite a few more so, I give you all some fun jobs that are lucrative for you to do as a side or, full time job.

FitBit, Gym, & Passing Out

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

Holiday Hunny is back!! If you didn’t get to share this exciting time with me last year don’t fret, I chat about the ups and downs of my fitness life. After two weeks of being sick going to Italy and, chaos of being home my feet finally made their way to the gym. I am not only working out to lose weight, I am working out to gain strength. I don’t know what has happened but, the upper body strength has left the building and, made me pretty week. I am starting out with six pound dumbells when I used to be able to lift ten but, no biggie I will get back there. The only thing I get frustrated about is everytime I workout at the gym lifting weights etc.. I always get light headed and, feel like I am going to pass out. Today I didn’t feel that I worked out that long however, boom I was hit with the feeling… This is the worst one I have experienced where my vision was blurry, I was seeing spots and, felt like I was going to throw up. This is extremely frustrating because how am I suppose to workout when all this happens every time.. I do usually have electrolyte water or coconut water which helps a lot but, my goodness it’s annoying. When I am home I can have a fan on me to cool me down and, take breaks. Last night I decided I was going to take on a Pinterest 1,000 calorie workout it probably took me about 20-30 minutes with my fan on however, I did not fell lightheaded once. I am wondering what triggers this at the gym and, how to fix it. Oh, before I get into that I wanted to let you know I am keeping an update on my fitness progress on my instagram @thatsabang if you want to see pictures and, follow me I’d be glad to have you! I have a few theories as to why this is happening :

  1. From Low Blood Pressure
  2. From Low Blood Sugar
  3. Something Heart Related
  4. The florescent lights

I may have that vertigo type of thing but, I need to get it checked out again. I also, get randomly dizzy for no reason but, that just happens on random occasions. Oh well, it will get managed sometime soon. Back to the Pinterest workout, it says you can burn 1,000 in doing this workout in under ten minutes. I thought why not, as I said, the workout took me about 20-30 minutes to do but, with practice over the next couple of months maybe I could get it done quicker. On my heart rate monitor it said 444 calories and, then about two hours later I had burned over 1,00 calories. I was wondering if this gimmicky Pinterest post failed to mention that you will continue to burn and, not burn 1,000 calories right away. Never the less, it was challenging and, defiantly a workout that I will pursue and, hopefully master. Please let me know if you have any fun workout routines that you like or YouTube workout videos. I like to mix up my workouts because your body is constantly in shock and, it’s not fun to keep doing a handful of workouts. I find some workouts really challenging which makes me not like them as much and, I may hit a wall with trying to get fit. Instead, of frustrating myself with a workout I don’t like I switch up and, try something new. I usually take zumba, aquatics, yoga and, pound. I will have to wait another week before I can go back to all those fun classes. In the meantime I’m hitting the home workouts and, gym when I can. I have a very good feeling about this year!
