Fitness Update & Cleaning Up My Eating

Hello Loves,

I have been pursuing my fitness journey for some time now. I have been going to the gym and, working out at home. I have slacked a bit on working out at home which is something I am trying to get together. I just cleaned my beautiful room so, I will be able to do a lot more workouts. I am thinking that I will put together a little food plan for myself to have my meals all ready and, switch up the workouts every week. I think February is when I will start my swimming back up which will be a process and, I will probably start small like can I swim straight for 5 minutes which sounds ridiculous but, it will take me awhile to build my swimming stamina back up. Today will be my planning day since I got a lot accomplished over this weekend which, allows me the time to plan a bit. I have been resting quite a bit this weekend as well because I felt that I needed. It is also, hard to get sleep sometimes when pet sitting so, I would wake up let the dog out feed it and, then sleep a little more. My Vegan Diary Day 1

Dear Diary,

It has been awhile since writing to you last and, I can’t wait to share what I have eaten. Since becoming vegan I have tried, tested and, made a lot of vegan food and, now that I feel I kind of have a grasp on the food part I jumped on the workout bandwagon. Yes, I do not like to admit that I let my workouts slip but, I did and, I am certainly paying the price. After making the mistake of thinking just because I am vegan I don’t have to work out as hard I have gained some unwanted lbs. Was I eating all whole foods? Haha, no I’m glad you mention that because it is good to be able to have more greasy vegan food or processed food but, I’m afraid my body does not really agree. I have been laying off the vegan “junk food” as much as possible and trying to carb the F up the right way. As you may have heard from one of my posts I joined the gym and, started swimming again! I am so happy to be back on track and rid myself of the evil unwanted extra fat. Today I swam for about 10 minutes, took a yoga class, and did zumba. Although, I am exhausted I feel fantastic. Let’s take a look at what I ate throughout my day.

Breakfast:

 I promised you all the recipe to this amazing nice cream on my instagram so, here it is.

Strawberry nice cream: Half a bag of frozen strawberries, 3-5 frozen bananas, and a little bit of almond milk. Blend in your food processor or blender until you get a creamy ice cream like consistency.

Chocolate nice cream: add a tablespoon or more depending on how chocolatey you want it to taste. The add 3-5 frozen bananas and blend untile you get the ice cream consistency.

Enjoy or add chia seed gel for a great topping. Look up how to soak chia seeds I am in the beginning stages of testing this.

Lunch was heaven in the backyard as a picnic! I love backyard picnics, don’t you? I also watched a few episodes of Charmed on Netflix!

Salad: Bag of salad, carrots, apples, tomatoes

Zumba was so much fun and, it really proved to me how much I want to get back in shape!

Of course ended the night with a mason jar with lemon water.

Dinner was leftover salad, dip from lunch, half an avocado, and two baked sweet potatoes.

It was a great day filled with accomplishments not only with my health but, with my work as well.

I joined a gym?

Yes,

Hello loves, I have joined a gym but, not because of the gym equipment but, mainly because of the pool!! I will be starting my training to try to get my swimming back to where it should be. Today on my vlog I talked about moving my channel toward fitness and, ethical fashion. On my new YouTube Channel “Forever Seeking Wanderlust” I will be posting travel vlogs and ethical fashion videos. If you are a follower of allie vLuv don’t worry I will still be posting vlogs, hauls, makeup, and vegan videos. Back to the gym, well, I had enough with not being physically fit. I have a few knee problems and, Reflex Nerve dystrophy so, I want to ease back into really getting in shape. I used to be on the swim team when I was younger and, just swim a lot in general. I will start with getting back into swimmer shape and, work on my technic. Once I have been able to get myself to a solid 20-30 minute swim I will start to incorporate a challenge that I would to put on the YouTube Channel. I was watching a YouTube Channel I will link a video down below, and, he was doing 40 hours of working for the week. It gave me he idea of pushing myself to do 3 hour challenge and 1 hour every other week to build up resistance. I will have to be careful of running because of my knees I will have to build up fast walking/jog to a run. Once I have established a jog, longer swim I can start the 3 hour 2 week challenge and keep building that up until I reach my 40 hour goal. I realize that it will take me about a month to get myself back in semi-swimming ready. I also, want to be able to bike to the gym over this summer which will be amazing when that happens. The visual of riding my bike to the gym is inspirational in my mind and, I can not wait for that vision to come to life. What we manifest, we put out to the universe what we want and, in return the universe usually gives us what we would like. We have to want it, think about, pray about it (if you are religious), write about it, and act on it. Your positive acts, thoughts, and feeling will be contagious; it is the kind of contagion that I wish would spread throughout the world. I am very excited to peacefully transition into a healthier/fitter lifestyle. As I start to lose weight it will be captured on all of my videos. I plan on eating vegan, of course, but, I will either be fruitarian or rawtill4. I will be learning what my body fuels on best when working out more and, how much I will need to bring with me. I am thinking i will be incorporating more medjol dates, smoothies, bananas, and of course my favorites melons!! I just bought a cap for my hair so I can swim with ease, I already own a one piece bathing suit, and goggles. I know that bathing suit isn’t going to be so flattering but, in my mind I have gotten over myself and, focus on where I need to get my body in order to be healthier and, have a happier life. Are you all excited to follow me on my journey, what are some post you would like to see, do you want me to do a weekly diary of how I am doing what I eat and, how I am coping with this new workout schedule. I am a little nervous, determined, excited, and motivated lets get it! This journey is amazing….

Pump That System

The lymphatic system is a system that is very important but, on almost no ones mind. To be able to give a broader view on the topic I have done some research in order to be as accurate as I can possibly be about the topic. I am not a doctor nor am I in the medical field and, I am learning about the lymphatic system which, I thought was important for you all to learn a little bit from me and then do research on your own. The inspiration for this post is from Lani Jane’s e-book which I will link below. She brings up some great topics as well as, has yummy raw vegan recipes. The lymphatic system is extremely important to the body because it helps it get rid of toxins, waste, and unwanted materials. The fluid getting filtered through the blood becomes clean because of the lymphatic system. The lymphocytes are fighters to the war against potential invaders. The lymphatic system helps to fight infections with a “…fluid containing infection fighting white blood cells, throughout the body”(livescience.com). It is important to pump that system because it only pumps through movement, you need to break a sweat and, get red in the face. Let’s get educated and learn about our body so we can heal it from the inside out and, the outside in. Continue to heal your body and, show it love.

  • Anything with chemicals or that is toxic toss it, it is not worth it
  • Get enough sleep and, listen to your body
  • Move around throughout the day
  • Take long walks in the park and breath in the fresh air
  • cycling is also, excellent
  • Of course you need to exercise but, it doesn’t have to be boring find something that you love to do and keep at 3-7 days a week
  • Drink lots of water and add some fruit such as lemon, berries etc.
  • If you have a trampoline that is highly recommended
  • Do vigorous exercising 1-2 a week
  • I do yoga everyday which helps me remember to breath ( when I miss a yoga practice I notice a difference in my day)
  • Working with you body is so important we forget to listen and, follow through with what our body needs and, wants

Wanderlust: Summer Palnning|Life Goals|Working Goals

Hello Loves,

This is going to prove to be an exciting summer with the prospect of growing all of my businesses and, a bit of traveling. Ahh, the thrill of the unknown and, new places to venture. Today, is a working/planning day for me as I need to increase my sales on Poshmark & Amazon. Along with those business goals I am also, trying to increase my views for my YouTube channel and of course my blog. With my new goals I am a little jumbled with how to get this all accomplished and, of course, intertwine my healthy life & helping the planet goals. Will all this on my mind, I have found I have become more exhausted and, have learned to listen to my body. One of the main reasons I am “trying” to work from home is because I do not have the energy for a normal 9 to 5 job. Some days I am thoroughly exhausted and I need a mid-day nap or a quick break. I am strategizing not only accomplishing my work goals but, taking my life & health goals into consideration. I would say most of the time we do not take care of ourselves and, it leads to health problems later on in life. I want to take care of myself now instead of 30 years down the road when I have worked myself down along with my health. Healing myself from the inside out is my main goal for my life right now. I follow many Vegan YouTubers and, when I wake up in the morning I look forward to watching their videos. Mel, from Raw Nourishment always seems to have the perfect video for what I need to hear that day. Her recent video about making a list and manifesting what you want in your life was just right. Although, her video was about her vegan boyfriend, that is not a high priority on my list this year because I am learning to heal my body, grow my businesses, and love the person I am. Each day I have grown to learn more about myself or my body and, it is fascinating. I no longer worry about what people think of me I am just myself and, I Love it. It is hard to express the change in the way I am because it is not  a physical change but, more of a self accepting change. I feel I have always been myself but, I feel I have actually embraced it. I am more determined and focused to accomplish my goals and aspirations. I am self aware and aware of the disturbance we are putting our planet through. Recently, I have talked about ethical clothing and moving my Poshmark closet into an ethical clothing closet and, possibly my own boutique. Growing my businesses helps me to grow as a person and move forward in my life. In the next two years I would like to get my own place and, travel. To be able to travel & get my own place I need to work ten times harder and longer to accomplish that. I think that everything that I need to get done I will and, my life will fold out when I least expect it to. Let me know how you are feeling and, if you have become enlightened within yourself. Black Strap Molasses & Health Benefits

Lately I have been enlightened about healing my body. How I need to heal from the inside out and from the outside in. I am sure, that you have seen me inch closer and, closer to holistic, ethical, vegan friendly living. How else am I going to cure myself from all the calorie restricting and, harsh chemicals I used to eat/wear… Healing my body in ward and out ward is my first step toward healing myself. I want to make sure I am filling my body with whole plant based food as well as, mentally healing myself. I am not taking about healing myself mentally as an illness; I mean healing my entire being with the appreciation of life and, everyday abilities. I mainly do this through yoga, mediation and, the embracing of life. Now, I am taking it a step further and, really listening to my body. If I feel I need to rest I rest, if I want to dance I dance, if I need to move I move, if I need tranquility I rest my mind. No longer is my body subject to the ways others live their live but, the way I want to live mine. I have felt so much better these past couple of days just listening to what my body needs and wants. I will be talking to you this week about how important movement is for our lymphatic system and, how we do not give it enough attention. I will also, take about skincare and, how important and imperative it is to use vegan products and, chemical free products for your skin. Today, I am talking about Black Strap Molasses and, why I decided that my body needed this item and, why hadn’t anyone mentioned it to me before… Black strap comes from sugar cane and is boiled three times. Unlike, refined sugar the health benefits are incredible. It is used for healthy hair, skin structure, diabetic sweetener, natural laxative, with vitamins, and minerals.

Minerals & Vitamins:

  • calcium
  • manganese
  • selenium
  •  Vitamin B-6
  • niacin
  • potassium
  • copper

Black Strap Molasses doe not contain fat and, the kind you want to ingest is Unsulphured Black Strap Molasses. If you would like to learn more about it there are many articles just google it and, you will find these facts and, more! So, my question is why didn’t we know about this sooner and, isn’t this a great replacement for a daily vitamin!? By the way, I tried it for the first time this morning and, it tastes like licorice! The texture may be a little hard to handle so, a tip is to put it into the fridge to thicken up.

Working Out & Throwing Up?

Yesterday in my Instagram post I said I would explain in further detail about why I get sick working out so, here it is! I decided to do a plyometric bootcamp workout and I felt so sick with about ten minutes to go. Background to me getting sick is that I have low blood pressure and, I get over heated. Great combination right?! When I do floor exercises like burpees etc. I always feel like I am going to throw up. Yesterday, there were a few burpees but, I chose to not do them as I know, they are big triggers of me feeling sick; I did a few floor exercises including planks. While doing the planks I was fine then bam, right after that the dizziness/nausea set in. Oh great, I can’t even finish the workout which almost always happens… I get to the bathroom place a cool wash cloth on the back on my neck, position myself by the toilet, sip coconut water, and hope for the best. I sat there for about ten minutes feeling absolutely horrible and then, I started to feel better. I slowly got myself up and proceeded to go downstairs and make myself dinner. I then recalled that I had forgotten to eat something substantial an hour/hour and a half before working out. I did not have enough energy to burn off because I didn’t eat enough. My blood pressure defiantly dropped but, I’m wondering if my blood sugar dropped as well. I used to use Gatorade for this problem now I use electrolyte water and coconut water. They are both healthier options and work just as well. Bringing you back to when I was in high school I used to have to have salt during the day because my blood pressure would randomly drop ( it was not a pleasant feeling). Now I keep pretzels next to my bed and, it happens less, now usually when working out. I have to remember to eat enough to sustain myself especially when I am going to work out. As a vegan, sometimes I am full and I forget to continue to eat until dinner. Today, I made conscious effort to eat as soon as I woke up and, throughout the day when I was filming. I filmed a taste test and vegan haul so, I had a little bite of sweets and savory snacks before doing a lighter workout today. My goal is to eat around 2,400 calories and, workout about 2-3 times a day. I would like to get back into my workout routine not only to be healthy and get in shape but, to help my RND as well. RND is reflex nerve dystrophy which is a disconnection with your brain and nerves if, you want I will explain about that and my experience in another post. The only way to help RND is to workout to help your nerves try to connect properly. I was in a program where I was working out about 5 hours a day with specific therapies to help RND patients that was a few years ago. For now, one workout a day and hopefully yoga in the morning or at night. I hope you enjoyed my little story feel free to comment below!

Witch Hazel Loving

So, recently I have been reading about witch hazel and how it takes the toxins out of your body. I have been using it on my face and arm pits. I will be geeing my thyroid checked soon because I have been cold sweating (which means I sweat when I am cold). This problem has been extremely frustrated because my deodorant no longer works properly. I am usually home by myself working so, there isn’t a huge problem but, if I go out I do worry about it. I got curious and decided to do a small amount of research and came across witch hazel being used as not only a toner and face cleanser but, as deodorant. Pleasantly surprised, I started using it to try and regulate my body. I am trying to get back into completely natural ways to heal the body. Yes, heal because there is a built up of toxins from other deodorant brands I have used and I am working to clear my face of some acne spots and blackheads as well. I do wonder if waxing and not shaving the armpit would help to get rid of some of the hair follicles which would leave less room for toxin to develop therefore, less odor would occur. This is an odd occurrence for me because I didn’t have this issue until starting college three years ago although, cold sweating can be caused by stress it seems to not fit because I am out of college and, just working away. I am happy an love what I am doing so, I will be happy to get down to the cause of this. In the meantime, I am using witch hazel to see if I can balance my body to its natural form while decreasing the odor. Does anyone else have this issue, if so what do you do to help yourself. I am vegan so only vegan product suggestions please or natural remedies. I can’t wait to read your comments below. Last question, do you use witch hazel and, what do you use it for. Fit Me Holiday Hunny Week 2

Ciao Tutti,

I hope to find you all well this week and to let you know I have found a few new YouTube workouts that I am trying to conquer. This one video I found is for your gluts and abdominals although, it is only a ten minute video I have yet to get through all ten minutes. I know, this sounds crazy…. but, the video is really that hard. I also, have been neglecting working out and am starting to slowly make my way back into it. I have started little routines for yoga, kick boxing, and then incorporating specific body part workouts such as, the one I was explaining about previously. My new series will be coming into place called “What is in that?” I plan to go through an entire menu of all fast food restaurants and help you figure out what you are actually consuming. Along with this will come recommended food to consume as well as, workouts that I am loving each week. Getting back into my workout routine is especially hard when I have a messy workout area. So, my challenge to you is start cleaning your workout areas and get ready to bust a move because we will motivate each other to get into it. Fit Me

Are we ready to be Holiday Hotties? I am! Just to get you started I will give samples about what this post is going to be:

Here are some of my ideas and what you will see over the next month. If you all enjoy getting fit together I will continue the series! I am not a nutritionist nor am I a fitness instructor however, I am motivated to get fit and will motivate you all throughout the week! I plan on having some Youtube videos throughout the week so, you can see I”m working hard at my goals and, hope you will be inspired. I am not in great shape but, isn’t that why you clicked onto this post, to get in amazing shape? That is why I am writing! If you all would like me to create an instagram and pinterest for you all to keep you on track and motivated, I will surely do so! Your input will help me know what works for my readers and, suggestions are surely welcome! I will be posting updated pictures on my progress and you all are welcome to share your progress, recipes, and tips. Please keep in mind that I am vegan so, all my food plans will be vegan. Eat what feels right for you and remember “chips” aren’t considered healthy but, I don’t feel depriving yourself of something you enjoy works. If you are not having at lIMG_0918east 2,000 calories a day then get on it girl! Anything below 2,000 calories is technically starving yourself and can lead to eating disorders. This blog is all about motivation, eating healthy, and pushing yourself to do the best you can! No deprivation here I am a calorie queen!
