Tips To Help Anxiety

With our go,go, go lifestyle and, working ourselves to the bone the number of people with anxiety is high. I don’t care who you are there is a little bit of anxiety built up that may be stressing you out. Here are a few tips to help you cope with the anxiety and, help you ease through your day.

  • Give Yourself Time In The Morning- First instinct in the morning is to hit your snooze alarm which, you know with give you a few more extra minutes in your cozy bed. Give yourself an extra hour to wake up instead of hitting your snooze alarm. I wake up usually two hours before I have to get out of bed. This may seem a bit excessive but, it allows me to watch a show, relax and, check emails. I do not like to feel rushed in the morning.
  • Go To Bed Early- Your body needs 6-8 hours of sleep depending upon your age. If you are in your 20s-30s you need to get 8 hours of sleep. Your brain needs time to rest and, you are depriving yourself of a proactive day if you think you can skimp on your sleep. With all the apps out there try to find on the monitors your sleep and, see how many hours your body actually needs. I haven’t needed my normal 9 hours of sleep lately and, I have only needed about 6. That is all according to how you feel when you wake up. If you feel like you haven’t slept when you wake up try monitoring your sleep for two-three weeks and, see what it tells you.
  • Get Rid Of The Coffee- Your body becomes super dependent upon the coffee and, then it doesn’t help wake you up anymore. If you get enough sleep you won’t need the coffee. Swap your coffee for water to hydrate yourself or, smoothie for a nice vitamin kick.
  • Yoga- I do not know if yoga is your thing but, I recommend it anyone I know. Not only does yoga help to wake you up it also, keeps you calm. I recommend it before bed as well to get you ready to sleep. Bonus you get a workout before work and, it keeps your muscles active. You can also, try meditation or, Qigong.
  • Pre- Before you go to bed pick out what you are going to wear for the next day. Get all your bags ready/food. Being prepared before you go to work will help ease your anxiety and, you can go to bed without any worries.
  • Playdough– Playdough isn’t just for children it is also, a great to relax. Something about concentrating on molding the playdough is calming. You can also, try mini rake in sand or, the coloring books for adults.

If there is an active that you know is going to cause you any anxiety try these methods. Take a few deep breaths and, ask why this certain activity etc. is causing anxiety and, how you can help relieve yourself of the anxiety.

The Age Of The “20” Somethings

Lately, I have been questioning my life choices as, I think all “20” something year olds’ do. Simple thoughts like, ” Am I on the right path?”  ” Did I make the right career choice?” ” Would I have been better in a corporate environment?”

Makes me wonder about the “20” something mentality of YOLO or, original Latin phrase Carpe Diem. Are we so revolutionized that our future is not as important as, seizing the day or, that exact moment. Or, are we so worried about thinking past the present that we use those phrases as a crutch. I have been stressing out a little more lately than usual with the financial element of going to Hawaii, saving for a car, apartment and, all of my business expenses. As many jobs as I do have, the income can tend to be flaky and, I invest most of it back into my Amazon business. Money, seems to be a main stress among-st most people but, I don’t see people of “20” something generation stressing out about it as much. Is this because it will ruin the “carpe diem” idea or, because we’d rather not dwell on something that doesn’t hold as much of importance to us. Money comes and, goes but, the memories will last forever and, that seems to be where our focus is. Of course, you have the heavy party-ers, 5-9 workers, entrepreneurs and, some that are in-between.  Is it just me worrying about the unknown or, is everyone else just internalizing their fears?

The fear of completely striking out doesn’t bother me but, the fear of not being semi-financially secure and, able to solely take care of myself is a number one concern. I am going to be applying to a few waitress jobs and, I’m kind of excited/nervous. I do not have a background in waitress-ing but, I am hoping that they will give me a chance to tackle the job and, do it well. Once, I am working somewhere that allots me a steady income my insides will be a bit more at ease.

When I pass people on the street just walking I wonder about their life story. Did they have a dream they never pursued? Have they traveled? Do they live with any burdens? Do they have any advice for me about life? What are they thinking about? Are they wondering the same thing when I pass them by? We really have no idea where we are going to be five minutes from now let alone five years from now. I read an article that said would you rather own a $1,000,000 house with debt and no money in the bank or, own a smaller house with $5,000 in the bank and, no debt. My question I ask myself is, “would I rather be rich in experience or, have a rich bank account.” No, it’s not a trick question and, I have the answer for myself, I’d rather be rich in experience; I’d rather be rich in friendships, relationships and, in love with living life to the fullest. I am wondering, ” Is that a “20” somethings mindset or, are we just in-tune with how we plan to live our lives?”

Have an enlightening and, adventurous day,

Get It At The Goodwill Bins

Most Days we are strapped for cash and, it is no wonder because their is an ad popping up every 2 seconds showing us what next great product we can try. If you are like me, going toward a minimalist approach, zero waste and, consumer conscious lifestyle then, you will not be spending your hard earned money on useless junk. The reason I called this post “Get It At The Goodwill Bins,” was not that you should necessarily shop there but, that you become conscious about what you are bringing into your home. What do you actually need and, want your house to look like? Evaluate, take the time to think about each item you bring into your home, do you love it and, is it a sustainable piece that will last you twenty or more years. Now, when I shop I look for quality over quantity. I am aware of the waste we are producing, the slave labor for our fast fashion products and, the cheap quality.  Right now I am fortunate enough to live with my parents but, when I do move out I want my home to be my sanctuary. Do you walk into your home happy and, excited to be there or, do you walk in upset at all the clutter. I have that right now actually, one of the shelves broke in my room right before I went on vacation and, the shelving held a lot of things! Now that mixed with dirty and clean laundry, it is a bit overwhelming… But, I have a schedule set today and, that is one of the things I plan on accomplishing. Planning to take a day or, weekend and, tackle all the items that make you unhappy and, you want to toss is important. You can sell them or donate them but, the point is that you get rid of it. Make a list of items that you actually need not want but, need. How long is your list, is their a way to get these things that you need that you will feel happy buying? Personally, if I need something like a new pair of jeans that actually fit( not the ones you have tucked away in your closet when you lose those extra ten pounds, toss them they are a negative and, a reminder of something you haven’t accomplished yet) instead save up $80 for those ethical jeans that are eco-friendly, animal friendly and, sustainable. If you are investing $80 in jeans divide that by how long they will last, five or ten years, you are spending $16/year for five years for long lasting jeans, what a steal! If you are a jean wearer three pairs should last you a solid 10 years if you wash them the correct way. This is just an example of getting something that is quality over quantity. It is much easier to have your house hold reek of love, and, happiness with items you enjoy looking at. If I were to get a house/apartment etc.. I would probably fill my kitchen with items from etsy. I love buying from small businesses and, there are so many dishes that I have loved over the years. Instead of going to the dollar store or, thrift store and, getting mismatched items save up an, get one plate at a time if you have to. If the dishes at the thrift store bring you happiness pick them up. The point is to not overwhelm yourself with unnecessary clutter and, fill up you life with what you will enjoy. I have been cleaning and, getting rid of clutter an, items that I don’t use and, I don’t miss them.

Tips

  • Get rid of clutter and items you don’t love
  • Take one day to tackle one room
  • make a list of what you need
  • get sustainable items that will last for years
  • Resell on ebay, Moms on a budget, Craigs list etc..
  • Repeat until you have gone through every room
  • I hope you are happy when you walk into each room and, some items have a memory or, story to go with them

I haven’t read the whole Marie Kondo book but, I have taken some of her ideas such as, your item should bring you joy when you pick up. I still have more to go through but, I have picked up items that don’t bring me joy an, I have gotten rid of two bags. It also, awakens my mind to only purchase an item if I need it and, to get sustainable and, long lasting items. I always listen to positive and, uplifting music when I’m cleaning because it gives me a burst of energy.

Zero Waste Baby Wipes

To all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends etc.:  Zero waste baby wipes, yes, it is a thing…. Wipe toxins are at 5-7 out of 10 for regular wipes. I looked this up when I was asked to bring wipes to a friend’s baby shower. I was alarmed at the toxin rate looked up a zero waste method and, found one! I bought chemical free, bleach free, harm free wash clothes for babies they were bamboo wash cloths. Here what you need:

Recipe: Boil 221ML of Water. Mix the coconut oil with warm water before putting them in the jar. Put wash clothes into glass container. Put cooled water into glass container and, 1TBSP of coconut oil. Close glass jar and, shake. Bam zero waste wipes. Once you use up the wipes you wash them and, the jar and, then reuse. There is no chemical harm, ph problem etc… And, you are not wasting wipes. If you want more zero waste tips please put it in the comments below and, I will write an article on what you request.

Emma Watson Changing Female Image

Ciao Tutti,

I just watched a PopSugar one minute clip on Emma Watson’s recreation of Belle and, it is fantastic. If you all remember when Cinderella came out it gave a very unhealthy image of this Disney princess with the controversial corset that was worn. In the 1820-30’s lacing began with corsets to maintain an unrealistic hourglass figure; this is actually shown in the Pirate’s Of The Caribbean when Ms.Swan falls off the balcony unable to breath and, Sparrow jumps in and, rips it off of her. The corset basically pushes all of the organs together and, was so tight that the lady’s would frequently pass out.  However fashionable they believed this corset to be, they should have been alarmed at the first sign of lady’s passing out. With tuberculosis and, pneumonia floating around they women were subject to double the trouble when they wore the corsets because, they were already restricting the lungs, therefore, it would make it almost impossible to breath if they had one of these common illnesses. Just like bras are becoming an issue because the breast are supported and, the muscle becomes reliant on the bra. The tight lacing did the same, only, worse causing the back muscles to rely on the corset for support. Doctor Ludovic O’Followell was to thank for the first X-Ray and, he did a study on women wearing corsets and, how it effected them. Needless to say, he was not about the corset. thankfully women came to their senses in the 1920’s and, decided to ditch the corset for an opposite and, rebellious approach the flapper dress. It is alarming that women are still using corsets today better known as, waist trimmers made famous by Kim Kardashion. In case women haven’t realized, the waist trimmer may help get your body to a certain shape but, it is not help your lungs or, organs. Emma Watson being the support of females and, understanding the need for image change really took a stand when she gave Belle a new corset-less image. The new Belle will be a great role model for little girls as well as, women to help them embrace their own bodies and, realize how unhealthy the Disney Princess image is. Emma Watson has given Belle a new background as well, as a inventor like her father. I feel Disney had a mention in their original movie that Belle was moving in the direction of becoming an inventor however, they did not focus upon therefore, making the image of Belle just like the other princesses instead of, the strong, independent and, intelligent women she was. Emma Watson also, mentions that Belle is an active princess which, they never have focused on how important it would be for the princess to be playing outside and, getting in physical activity. We should always be giving women and, girls a healthy image and, encourage them to find out what they enjoy doing. Whether it is chemistry, animal science, playing sports, art, music; it is important to explore and, test out everything possible. We should also, be encouraging women and, children to be as active as possible. Eating healthy, playing/exercise is important and, needed for our bodies lymphatic system as well as, mental health. Emma Watson is doing an amazing job and, I would love to see her continue to grow and, create a new image of women.

Black Friday Is The New Thanksgiving

Ciao Tutti,
I know you probably thought this blog post was going to be about Black Friday shopping and, deals however, it is not. I have been hearing commercials about stores open on Thanksgiving and, to come in early to avoid the crowds. I must say these ads have thoroughly disappointed me. I understand opening the stores at 9 or 10 p.m. because people who are on there way home from Thanksgiving dinner can stop off at a store if they want something but, why is it so important to be open during the day? It makes me sad that we can’t just focus on hanging out with our loved ones, chatting, catching up and, just enjoying each others company. Instead, stores have taken it a step up and, decided they are going to interrupt one day that we get to relax with one another. It begs the question has black Friday become more important than Thanksgiving? Please let me know what you think in the comments. Thank you for all the lovely comments I have been receiving on my posts, I am truly grateful to have all of you on here. Please let me know if there is a topic you want me talk about in the comments below.

Trending: Vagabond Lifestyle

So, in today’s world you work in the corporate world, 9-5 job, and 90% of the people working are burnt out, stressed and, zoned out of life. That is not completely accurate because there are many people selling everything and, traveling the world. To me this is the best idea and, what I strive to do in life. So, why is living a vagabond lifestyle popular? People actually sell their cars, houses, and most everything they own just to travel and, live out of their backpacks? Yes, and I am beginning to see the draw and, passion for just living. Why not drop everything and travel around the world that has a much greater appeal then working hard long hours to eventually hate life. So, what happens if you are like me and you don’t have a house or car to sell? Well, I am working to establish a nomad kind of lifestyle. I just started a travel YouTube Channel called Forever Seeing Wanderlust and, I hope that my journey’s on there and, on my regular YouTube Channel allie vLuv will help me to create an income for myself. I have my blog, selling books on Amazon and, I am looking into selling fair trade t-shirts on etsy etc.. I also, sell on Poshmark. I am hoping with this large combination of jobs that I will be able to provide a great income for myself to travel. I would also, like to have the means to purchase a better bike and, car. How do you think you would be able to provide a nomad lifestyle for yourself and, where would your first trip be to?

Society Is Holding Us Back People Who Are Breaking The Mold

Recently I have been watching YouTube Channels instead of regular T.V. Most pre-teens to thirty year olds are watching Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube much more than they are watching Cable Television. I think the number one reason is because it is convenient. Most of us use have smart phones/Tablets where we can watch shows or YouTubers during classes, or on your way home from work if you take the bus or the ferry. It is easy to throw on a pair of headphones and tune the rest of the people out until class starts or you are back from work. Why do we watch these shows/channels; are we bored, want to tune out, enjoy the characters, or want to live their lives. Anyway it is a way to escape and turn your brain off for a little bit. Now we have so many choices that we have control over what we watch. Lately I have been watching some more positive and enlightening YouTube Channels. This week it has be been the YouTube Channel Sailing La Vagabonde. I get to watch Riley and, Elayna with minimal sailing experience sail all around the world. I journey with them on La Vagabonde and go through the ups and downs with them. It is so interested to see all the spots that end up in where almost no ones heard of or the mistakes they make and, learn from on the boat. They have been sailing for awhile and, it has been a year seen they started their sailing videos on YouTube. I am currently on episode 14 and, I’m going to be sad when it ends. I do hope that they continue to upload to their channel because I enjoy watching their adventures. They do fish a lot so, if you are vegan just a disclaimer, I obviously have my reasons for not eating animals including fish but, it is not going to stop me from watching their journey. I hope you all check out their channel the link will be below.

Have an enlightening and adventurous day,

Travelers And Why Society Is Holding Us Back

By now I’m sure you know that I view life in a very different way then others. I have no intention of settling down any time soon and am not settling for a life of grief, burden, stress, and worry. Actually, you could take away all electronics and, I would be perfectly fine although, I would miss writing my blog posts and, filming for my YouTube Channel. I miss finding everyday of life an adventure and, that is were I am headed with my life. I want excitement, adventure, and most importantly fun! I don’t want to bored by everyday conversation but, actually talk to people who are filled with life. You have been probably told, “get serious and, figure out where you want you life to be.” Yes, in fact that is probably why you went to college and are most likely in a shit-ton of debt… I went to a community college and was lucky enough to get financial aid, scholarship money, and have my parents pay the leftover expenses. I did well and maintained a 3.9-3.75 GPA at Brookdale which is why I was able to get some scholarship money. I was not the smartest student in the room but, I was one of the most determined. When one professor asked who wanted to be a (a word relating to global sensation right now I am having word block) I was one of two students to raise my hand. I thought wow we have the opportunity to one day become a global sensation and, I was one of two people who wanted that. I have always wanted to have the freedom of owning my own business but, it also becomes a great responsibility if you are the boss of others. I don’t know if I will end up owning a company or creating my own products but, I sure hope I am. Well, I have since graduated with an associate’s degree in fashion merchandising. Now, I am blogging, making YouTube videos editing them, have my Poshmark closet, an FBA seller on Amazon, and a freelancer. Now, you think that would be enough jobs for society but, nope. I either get an expression simulating ” you are going to go nowhere with this and, eventually will need to get a “real” job or you get the, ” that sounds like a really cool job and, a million questions.” I guess the only way to be taken serious is to start making a boat load of money and, then just travel when I want. I mean wouldn’t that be the logical choice or would me buying a large mansion prove that I have “made it” in society’s eyes. Guess what, I am not looking for “society’s” approval for how I have chosen to live my life. I am no longer looking through a glass window as an observer, I no longer want to stand aside, I want to live. I am looking to live. Most of us are looking to live and experience life but, are too afraid to do what is necessary to get there. This year I am looking to make $1,000/month save $500 and the rest for traveling! I want to live as many places as possible to see if I actually like it! No, I don’t want to randomly move somewhere permanently and decide I hate where I am living. I do know that I am not a fan of winter but, I want to continue Amazon so, I will have to be in NJ from January-October. Yes, that only gives me three months to live somewhere else and, I will not avoid all the NJ cold weather; I’m ok with that as long as I have the experience of living different places three months out of the year. It is similar to a vacation but, it is also, important to me so, I end up living somewhere I love and thrive in. Right now I have nothing tying me down except, not having enough money… When I think about it, it’s not a problem because if I work harder on my Blog, YouTube Channel, Poshmark, and Amazon I have no doubt that I can make it happen! My first goal is Italy, I have talked about Italy for years but, this time I am serious. My brother is going back in November and, I want to go and, travel for two weeks. That is the first place to save up for the plane ticket, food, some extra travel costs and, to stay somewhere. He volunteers at a Place called Casa Cares’ so, as long as I volunteer there I can get food and, a room for free! I think it is the perfect place to set my eyes on. So, why do we let society hold us back from what we truly want to do?
