My Weekly Fitness Routine

Hello Loves,

My fitness journey continues and, I am making some amazing progress. I have lost about 12 pounds and I am that much closer to my goals to be a fit individual. This week I have been slacking in the fitness department mostly, because I have been writing so many blog posts and pet sitting. It was also really warm out and I wasn’t running/walking in 80-90 degree Fahrenheit weather. I did bring my yoga mat and kettle bell with me which, I will be using for the next couple of days. I am getting my wisdom teeth removed in a few days so, I’m thinking I will be down for the count fitness wise for about three days. My normal fitness routine is below along with my new favorite YouTuber who focuses on fitness.


Monday, Wednesday, Friday:

 

Stretch

Swimming 10 minutes ( I’m still getting used to swimming)

Run/Walk 30 minutes ( Walking 3mph for 5 minutes Running 6mph for 1minute repeat for 30 mintues)

I walk backward on the treadmill for ten minutes

Sideways on both sides of the treadmill for about 3 minutes

Mini ab workout-

  • Reverse Crunch 3x 30 seconds
  • Jack Knives ( As Many As I Can Do)
  • Flutter Kicks ( As Many As I Can Do Before I Lose My Form)
  • Alternate Heel Touches 3x 30 seconds

Mini Glute Workout:

  • Glute Bridge ( As Many As I Want)
  • Glute Bridge Hip Dips ( As Many As I Want)
  • Fire Hydrant
  • I like To Go Into A Bridge To Stretch ( Make Sure You Are Capable Of Doing This Please Proceed With Caution)

Mini Arm Workout:

  • bicep curls- 20 with 8 pounds
  • tricep extensions- 20 with 15 pounds
  • Shoulder Press- 20 with 8 pounds
  •  Wide Curls- 20 with 8 pounds
  • 180 Degree Open- 20 with 8 pounds

Tuesday- Zumba

Wednesday- Zumba

Thursday- Pound Class

Saturday- Usually work out at a park

I start out with simple stretches and, jumping jacks to warm up my muscles

Abs 1

  • Roll Up- 3 sets 30 seconds
  • Pulse Up- 3 sets 30 seconds
  • Bird Dogs- 3 sets 30 seconds
  • Windshield Wipers- 3 sets 30 seconds
  • Alternating Superman- 3 sets 30 seconds

Glutes

  • 50 hip bridge & leg lifts
  • 50 donkey kicks
  • 50 glute kickbacks
  • 50 sumo squats & leg raise
  • 50 side lunges

Arms, Back & Chest With Resistance Bands

  • Standing Curl 8lb band
  • Standing Chest Press 15 lbs
  • Chest Fly 15lbs
  • Tricep kickbacks 8lb
  • Tricep Extension 8lb
  • Shoulder Press 8lb
  • Upright Row 8lb

Kettlebell 15 lb :

  • Around the Body Pass
  • Deadlift

After I stretch with the foam roller ( get a foam roller they are extremely helpful!)

Sunday is usually a relaxed day since I’m basically working out everyday and, twice a day on some of them.


I will keep you all updated on my progress and, new workouts that I find. I like to switch up my routines so my body doesn’t get used to it so, each week I will give you all a new version of each workout. Let me know if you all want calorie breakdowns etc.. I will start wearing my heart rate monitor and, fitbit again.

Meat Alternatives For Transitioning Into Veganism

I recently answered a question about what to substitute when it comes to meat as a person transitioning into being vegan. Not too long ago I was wondering the same thing and, three and a half years later I think I have down what is the best substitute! Now I normally eat whole foods but, on occasion I like a little vegan “junk” food or, those substitutes for meat.

Here Is My Vegan Story If You All Want To Take A Peek:

Here are four common foods that meat eaters are always asking vegans what vegan substitutes to eat.

  1. Pizza- I usually make my own Pizza but, if you want a fast why to make pizza Diaya has a lot of options

2. People Enjoy There Hot Dogs This Is The Closest Version I Have Tried So Far

3. Teriyaki Oh my this substitute actually fooled a few non-vegans so, it’s pretty realistic and it’s super tasty!

 

4. This is literally the number one substitute that people ask for!

Healthy & Easy Vegan Recipe

 

What do you need?

  • One Sweet Potato
  • Handful Of Spinach, Collard Greens and, Turnip Greens
  • Leftover Zucchini It Was About A Third
  • Olive Oil
  • Rosemary
  • Garlic
  • Sea Salt

Okay, let’s get started!

  • Pre-heat your oven to 420 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Clean & Cut Up Your Sweet Potato
  • Cut them into french fry style
  • Get A Large Bowl Put 1-2TBSP Of Olive Oil In And Season To Your Hearts Desire ( I Like Lots Of Seasoning And, I Chose Rosemary, Garlic And, Sea Salt)
  • Get A Cookie Sheet Put Foil On It And Put The Fries On It Pop In The Oven Check At 15 minutes & Flip Them If Golden Brown Mine Took Somewhere in the 20-25 minutes to cook
  • In The Bowl Use The Leftover Seasoning To Toss The Greens In
  • Heat Up A Skillet & Put A Little Water In It And Add The Greens
  • Once The Greens Are Cooked Put The Zucchini In And Flip When Brown
  • Put Greens In A Bowl & Add The Nicely Golden Brown Sweet Potatoes To It
  • Now Eat Away! This Is A Great Meal For Leftover Greens

Season 1 Pilot

When I first scrolled through to see what to screen for my Screened addition blog post I hopped onto Amazon Prime as they have some killer Originals. The first thing I see is a bullet like lipstick case with a smeared streak of lipstick running across the screen and, the title ” I Love Dick.” Naturally, I was curious to see what the show was actually about. I didn’t read the description or reviews, I just pressed play. From the moment the show began I knew it was going to be a bit strange but, I found it alluring and continued to watch. As this middle aged couple made their way to Texas you could feel the underline tension of their relationship beginning to unravel. After we ( the audience) meets Dick his character is cunning and, abrasive. The letters written to Dick are out of spite but, also a release from the sexual frustration of the female main character. Dear Dick…..

The humor is not misplaced in this psychedelic and odd portrayal of each letter and, how the female main character interprets each encounter with Dick. The Director and filmmaker work well to capture an elusive reality within each scene.

My NightTime Routine When Pet Sitting

If you have been reading my blog from the beginning you will know that on occasion I pet sit. I love the furry animals that I watch and, thought you’d all like to know my usually standard routine for night time because why not…

Around 5-6 p.m. most animals get fed and, if they are dogs they get walked after

After that I will start to cook my dinner. Which is usually some delicious veggie dish!

After dinner I usually go straight back into working on my blog posts and, spend time playing catch etc.. with the animals

I will plan my next day and, fit in some kind of workout in-between

Drink a tea and, have a snack or dessert it depends on the mood I’m in

Shower and get ready for bed

 I’ll do a review after using it for a month and let you know how well it work so far I am loving it!

When I get into bed I do some more work before popping on a T.V. show or movie and finally falling asleep
